Master of Music

For The Stars of Tomorrow

We listen to them, we watch them, we love them and aspire to be like them!

As they can be our heroes from a young age, what better way to introduce music to our young generation.

Music brings along the possibilities of great joy and calm as it is such a crucial aspect for our mental health. Academic achievement isn’t the only benefit of music education and exposure.

Music ignites all areas of child development and skills for school readiness, including intellectual, social-emotional, motor, language, and overall literacy because it helps the body and the mind work together.

Music Club

The Gift of Music!

We start with pitch, scale, rhythm, melody and experience music through play. We will sing to work on our most important instrument, the voice. We will dance to develop body awareness. We will also play different instruments and listen to each other!

Not only does music improve balance & coordination through dancing but musical activity has various positive effects on children’s overall well being. It fosters creativity, improves attention and enhances memory through repetitive play.

In groups, learning music builds trust and cooperation. Playing music acts as a mood regulator while at the same time creates a sense of community and belonging.

Pianos are a magical musical instrument.

There are numerous benefits that can be derived from piano lessons including brain development, relief from stress, coordination of body parts and so many others. As students start piano lessons at an early age, they develop varied skills and the piano lessons give them various behavioral and health benefits that will remain with them for a lifetime. Lessons foster mental development, raise self esteem, improve  focus and discipline and groom personality.

Guitar lessons are a wonderful social experience!

Children quickly learn how to play small pieces of music. This helps them explore new horizons and discover new cultures through styles of music like rock, blues, country, funk, and jazz. Every musical style has its own unique history which can greatly enrich your child’s appreciation for the music. A good mix of jazz guitar, blues guitar, classical guitar, and rock guitar can help your kid develop in a much broader way.

Guitar is a social instrument. Only classical guitarists really play solo – so, your children will certainly be making friends whilst practicing their barre chords, guitar tricks, and favorite songs.

Learning this instrument takes much of our mental and intellectual capacity to execute precise actions such as getting our fingers on the right fret, nailing an accurate fingerstyle, and getting to grips with chord shapes.

Even learning the basic chords might be a challenge when your child first starts guitar classes. Once they’ve learned the fundamentals, they will progress to putting together a series of chords, learning a specific technique like picking, or developing increased flexibility in their right hand.

By learning to concentrate, children have to develop their determination and their will power hence they learn to focus their thoughts, and stay focused.

Violin

Young children often become fascinated with learning to play the violin, and if so, they should be encouraged. The physical, mental, and social benefits of playing a musical instrument are well-known, but the violin offers some surprising additions.

Musical training, even one year’s worth, positively impacts the memory and attention span of a child while improving reading skills, language processing, speech, and a variety of brain functions.

Physically, students gain strength and flexibility in the upper body. Their arms and fingers get stronger as they learn exciting and new techniques. Children’s posture generally improves, due to strengthening of the back, shoulders, and upper arms. Their little fingers will gain strength, as well, on both hands.

Mentally, violin practice improves attention span and focus, sharpens memory and improves self-discipline.

If he or she is an introvert, playing the violin can give them the opportunity to play in an orchestra with others and improve their social interaction. They can learn responsibility by helping other budding violinists in the class or group to learn the music.

Or, if your child is an extrovert, violin can give children a chance to spend some time focusing and concentrating on the skills necessary to improve their playing. They will be improving concentration, memory, self-discipline and more with practice.

Unless otherwise stated, our programs are not generally offered to the general public but rather in conjunction with, and exclusively for students of, our private school partners.

CAMPS

This program can be used alone, or in combination with any other Masterplan AcadeME activity.

Our camps can be offered as part of the already existing holiday program organised by the school itself, or we can take care of the entire process, from planning to booking to ensuring each day of camp is the best one the student has ever had.

CLUBS

In partnership with private international schools, all of our programs are available as supplementary or after-school enrichment clubs, or as a primary topic for one-off project weeks.

We ensure that collaboration, leadership and mindfulness exercises are integrated into the curriculum where possible and appropriate.

We also offer a proprietary booking system to partner schools.
